UNICAL presented a poster on MLSysOps at SuperScienceMe 2023, one of the main events during the 2023 European Researchers’ Night.

Read about the basic tenets of the MLSysOps project in the paper titled “Agents in the computing continuum: the MLSysOps perspective” which was presented at the 1st International Workshop on Machine Learning for Autonomic System Operation in the Device-Edge-Cloud Continuum (MLSysOps 2023) that took place in Rende, Italy on September 26, in conjunction with the International Conference on Embedded Wireless Systems and Networks (EWSN 2023).

Misha Glazunov and Apostolis Zarras presented a paper titled “Vacant holes for unsupervised detection of the outliers in compact latent representation“, at the 39th Conference on Uncertainty in Artificial Intelligence which took place on July 31 – August 4 in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

Alexandros Patras (UTH) presented a poster for our ongoing work related to ML-based autonomic operation at the Node level, at the ACACES 2023 Summer School. Besides presenting our work, ACACES was an excellent opportunity to meet and communicate with researchers worldwide.

Prof. Giancarlo Fortino gave a keynote talk titled “Integrating Machine Learning and Multi-Agent Systems for Fully Enabling Device-Edge-Cloud Continuum in Complex IoT Worlds” at The International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Communication, Networking and Services (ICCNS2023), June 19-22, 2023 – Valencia, Spain

G. Polychronis and S. Lalis of UTH presented a paper titled “Flexible Computation Offloading at the Edge for Autonomous Drones with Uncertain Flight Times” at the 19th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things that took place on June 19-21 in Cyprus.

UTH’s paper on “Flexible Computation Offloading at the Edge for Autonomous Drones with Uncertain Flight Times” will be presented at the 19th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things (DCOSS-IoT), Pafos, Cyprus, June 19-21, 2023

MLSysOps was presented at Ubiwhere’s stand at the ITS European Congress by Ana Pereira, particularly showcasing Ubiwhere’s contribution and Use Case.

On May 10-11, 2023 we participated in the Concertation and Consultation Meeting on Computing Continuum organized by EUCloudEdgeIoT.eu and taking place in Brussels, Belgium..

Dr. Raffaele Gravina introduced our project to a gathering of experts on Cloud, Edge, and IoT computing and representatives of the European Commission.

Prof. Christos Antonopoulos gave a talk on “ML-managed compute systems: From the node- to the datacenter-level and beyond” at the Greek ECE Student Conference (ESECON), Apr. 21-23, 2023, Volos, Greece.

Profs. Christos Antonopoulos, Nikos Bellas and Spyros Lalis also presented a poster at the conference describing the MLSysOps project.
