Prof. Giancarlo Fortino of the University of Calabria delivered a lecture at the 2025 IEEE RAS Summer School on Cooperative Connected and Autonomous Agents, held on July 21–25, 2025, at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Bari, Italy. He presented “From Digital Twins to Generative Digital Twins: Towards a Novel Approach in the IoT Edge‑Cloud Continuum,” highlighting research partially developed within the MLSysOps project and demonstrating how generative digital twin methods can support scalable, intelligent edge‑cloud systems.

The summer school brings together researchers and students to explore advances in autonomous agents, covering theory, applications, and their societal impact.
