Our article on “Self-managing systems from edge to cloud: The MLSysOps project” appeared on the January edition of the HiPEAC Info magazine. HiPEAC is a European Network of Excellence that focuses on advanced computer architectures and compilation technologies for high-performance and embedded computing systems. The HiPEAC Info magazine is a quarterly publication providing the latest news on the activities within the European HiPEAC.
MLSysOps will be present at the HIPEAC FORECAST Workshop with a speech on “A Possible Scenario to Study the Security of 5G Communication in IoT Edge Cloud Continuum” given by Aya Moheddine from INRIA-Lille on Jan 18, 2024!
The presentation will focus mainly on the 5G communication and how it is implemented in the developed testbed within the context of MLSysOps project in addition to its security and vulnerability.
Habib Mostafaei of TU/e and Georgios Smaragdakis of TUD presented a paper titled “Per Priority Data Rate Measurement in Data Plane” at the European P4 Workshop which took place in Paris, France.
Anastassios Nanos gave a talk on “Unifying execution environments for the Cloud-Edge-IoT continuum” at the Horizon Europe Information and Brokerage Event that took place in Brussels, Belgium on 4 December 2023.
Dr. Valeria Loscrì (INRIA) made a presentation on “Emerging Communication Technologies, Social Aspects and Legal Factors for evolved cybersecurity solutions” and also participated in a panel on Human Factor Security at the 8th Franco-Japanese Cybersecurity Workshop that took place in Bordeaux/Talence, France on November 29th – December 1st, 2023.
MLSysOps, along with the SMARTEDGE and TRANSACT projects is supporting the workshop “ENHANCE: Enabling Technologies and Dependability in Cyber-Physical Systems” that will be held in conjunction with HiPEAC 2024.
UNICAL presented a paper titled “Agents in software development architectures” at the 24th Workshop “From Objects to Agents” which took place in Rome, Italy.

A paper by Vincenzo Barbuto et al of UNICAL and Roberto Minerva of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, titled “Towards an Edge Intelligence-based Traffic Monitoring System” was presented at the IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics which took place in Oahu, HI, USA.
